I looked back in my notes re: my chat with Jason at Agate and I had jotted down that Agate estimates that there is a total of 2 1/2 billion pounds of copper available to be mined and at current prices this would translate into a net profit of 600 million dollars.
Here is my quick attempt at math:
(2.5 billion pounds X $0.22 profit/pound = $550 million) Seems pretty close.

Now I didn't get into any details about what assumptions were used to obtain this figure, perhaps someone with a little more experience in these matters could probe the company on more info and how they arrived at this amount.

Am I missing something here... I'd love to find out what!!

Yours wishing I'd paid more attention in math class,

Graham
