The way FENWAY is creeping up, must be killing the shorters - they just don't know what to do, which is actually better for those long. For example, lets say FENWAY pops $1.00 now, it would get the attention of the shorters sooner and they will cover sooner. This current creeping pattern is keeping the shorters in longer.

Feel that many of the shorts were bought during the run-up this summer to $9.50; would think then that many shorts were initiated in the $8.00-$9.50 range. Would believe shorters would start bailing out after they started losing money - lets say $1.00 out. If such assumption is correct the short covering should start from $9.00 -$10.50, depending where the individual obtained the stock. For those who shorted it under such range - well, they may be in for a real rude-awakening.
