The decision by the Supreme Court in Iowa " rejects key elements of the legal theory underlying lawsuits filed by 41 state attorney generals against the industry". This was a decisive earth shaking decision that will have great impact on other similar cases in other states. The situation here in the States is way out of hand. Too much hostility and resentment, along with lack of leadership by the President to get anything accomplished. We should get a verdict in the Minnesota trial in a couple of weeks ( the defense will rest its case by the end of next week ). I am on record ( months ago on this thread) stating that the Industry would win the case in Minnesota outright. Short term, there is still a tremendous amount of Uncertainty here, which will continue to put pressure on MO's stock. It takes a while for certain things to sink in amongst the American Public and the Investment Community. But make no mistake about it: the tide has turned here. Resistance is growing against Clinton's tobacco agenda. I expect a very nice rally over the summer for MO when Congress is in recess and the Investment Community realizes that it over reacted to possible Congressional impact on the industry. Again, the time to buy MO is NOW!
