Joe,

One of the first stocks I ever bought was ANCR back in MAY of 1996, where I bought it at 11 and sold for 38 in a few days. I mention this since I just heard CNBC mention ANCHOR FRIDAY, and that was the day that the CEO of ANCHOR came on CNBC. Soon after that the market tanked.

I was playing only penny stocks at that time and making a bundle, not knowing what I was doing. In fact I argued with my broker why I had to sell a stock at a cheaper price than what I bought it at. That tells you how naive I was at that time.

The way the internet stocks are zooming lately reminds me strongly of the insane way the penny stocks were zooming in 1996, and the correction that followed.
