The intra-Florida market could prove to be very profitable for them because if California is any indication then they should be able to defeat anybody in the market. I know that before they came to Florida it used to cost $100 dollars to fly from Ft. Lauderdale to Tample one way and now it costs $19 dollars for the same flight. It makes people want to fly more then drive that distance. But I do agree with you about the snowbirds. It will be an excellent for the two trends in Florida to work together.

I just don't think that Delta Express is going to be able to compete with Southwest in the markets that trying to do it in. Also, if you look Delta is expanding the Express into markets that they don't compete with Southwest in and so they are cutting into their own profits by offering lower rates then their own flights. Very strange.
