go2net is Silicon Investors new owner - looks like they are pro Java and anti platform dependcy (aka NT). Looks like we wont have to feel guilty browsing Silicon Investor - the worlds biggest NT web site (for viewing those demanding HTML text files!) recent go2net press release with a Sun quote - stocksite.com " SUNNYVALE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 24, 1998--Junglee Corp., the company that is turning the Internet into THE database, today announced an agreement with go2net, Inc.(NASDAQ:GNET), which provides Java-supported Sites People Seek(SM). From go2nets web site.... You seem to be using Netscape for Unix. If you were using a browser on some lesser operating system, we would be telling you to try disabling some of the Java features when they caused your machine to crash. Fortunately for you, that's not the case and we can gleefully recommend that you leave everything enabled and browse our site with reckless abandon.
