Magnifoam Update On Design, Engineering And Fabricating Division - Selected As Supplier To Bombardier Regional Aircraft Program
BARRIE, ONTARIO-
Magnifoam Technology International Inc. today reported that its design, engineering and fabricating division, PolyFab Corporation, has been selected to design and furnish the thermal-acoustic insulation system for the Bombardier Aerospace Dash 8Q Series 400 turboprop regional aircraft program.
"The Dash 8Q Series 400 is the fourth Bombardier aircraft program to include PolyFab's thermal-acoustic insulation kit system. This is in addition to the insulation we are currently supplying for the Canadair Regional Jet(r), Challenger 604(r) and Global Express Aircraft(r)," said George Knowles, Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer, Magnifoam Technology International Inc.
The thermal-acoustic insulation system supplied by PolyFab, uses proprietary noise and vibration technology to provide regional jet passengers with a smoother, quieter in-flight cabin environment. Bombardier reported that in excess of 1,500 turboprop regional aircraft will be built over the next two decades making it the fastest growing sector in the aerospace industry. This new aircraft completed its first test flight in January 1998.
"We are thrilled that Bombardier has once again selected PolyFab as the supplier of its insulation system," said Thomas R. Ambeau, Magnifoam's President and Chief Executive Officer. "Partnering with our clients to develop custom solutions has proven to be effective, resulting in strong ongoing relationships. These relationships provide us with the opportunity to integrate our silicone foam into a variety of aerospace applications, allowing us to grow in this sector," he added.
