I wouldn't expect the rock to be attractive at this stage as the sand can be scooped out of the ground rather than broken up & crushed. Like you I don't really understand how come the sand is so near the source rock; we need a geologist.
Like most others here I would just like to see a BD report, nothing fancy, demonstrating that the first sqkm of property has some value, to the depth drilled. I don't mind if it takes a couple of years or more to prove up

(1) full metal content per ton or sand
(2) depth of deposits
(3) extent of deposits over whole property
