You neglected to mention anything about laptops.
Their drives spin constantly and manage to function at a highly
successful rate. The Vapor! heads may or may not touch the surface
giving it an air cushion. Error correction can also be built
into Vapor! drives as well. Detecting bad sectors and checksums are
all possible solutions.
