I am not sure that the valuations are so insane. Commerce on the net is doubling every 60 days and the number of people on the net has doubled in the last year; 60 million, though I don't know how they came up with that number. ( Info is from an article in the Seattle Post Intelligencer) Who knows how long that can continue, but I dare say it can go on for several years at a very high rate. Some day the web will be integrated into every house. Where's the cheapest hammer at one of the near by hardware stores? Go to the web. It maybe only 4bb by the year 2000, but just imagine what it will be in 2005. The net is going to be bigger and more tightly bound to peoples lives than we can imagine. bps
