Hi Elk!
Since I am technologically ignorant, I understand some of what is posted on SI but not when it gets to heavy but I am most strongly influenced by the comments of Slomi Cohen. It may help to reread what he recently sent me:

Hi Don,

As I told you before I am expecting the second half (1998) to be much better from Vocaltec business point of view. They are participating in many carriers tenders for IP Telephony equip. and it takes time. The contracts with DT, AT&T and ECI also take time to be meaningful to the bottom line.
As of these days what prevent the stock to move is the issue of fees on Internet Telephony and insider selling:

insidertrader.com (go to free stuff and voclf)

I hope that H&Q Technology Conference and first Q results, at the end of the month, will push the price above 20.

Shlomi.

Elk, Shlomi says it will take time. I was faxed a full report from the company. I am also invited to participate in their conference calls. Since I did not receive an invitation, I assume there was not one. From the full report that I received there appears to be a lot of activity in VocalTec much of which costs money, but is a sound investment in the future to all of which which Shlomi refers. I think what we are seeing is a knee jerk reaction. Since I am not a trader, fluctuations of this kind don't bother me. Shlomi mentions the effect of insider trading, which is also a contributing factor. Elk, in that connection it would be worth while if you haven't already done so, to explore the URL Shlomi provided with information about insider trading. It substantiates what Shlomi said about insider trading. It substantiates what he has to say. He also mentions concern about the FCC, not on his part, but from those who do not realize that VocalTec is almost entirely interested in the international market, which is not subject to FCC control. I just finished checking Shlomi's portfolio in Globes and discovered that he still owns VocalTec. So do I.

Kindest regards,
Don
