MegaWorld Management Announces Publication of NYC Magazine as First Metro Publication for New York City
NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 22, 1998--MegaWorld, Inc. (MEGW) today announced the forthcoming publication of the premiere issue of New York City (NYC) Magazine and its scheduled availability on newsstands on May 27th, 1998.
In announcing the publication date, George Levy, Chairman of MegaWorld, Inc. and Publisher of NYC Magazine, stated, ''This is the first publication that can truly be called New York's Metropolitan Magazine. The first issue, a collector's edition, will be oversized, and contains 100 pages in full color. It is printed on heavy-coated paper, and it is perfect bound. The cover price will be $3.95.
''The timing of the publication couldn't be better, because it coincides with the renaissance of the city, physically, economically and psychologically. This magazine will reflect everything that is positive and glamorous and exciting about New York, both for visitors to the City and for residents.''
Distribution of the magazine will be made in major cities throughout the world by Eastern News Company, and by Hudson County News/Worldwide Media Service.
An infomercial is planned to generate subscription sales. The frequency is quarterly during 1998, and will subsequently become bi-monthly and then monthly.
MegaWorld, Inc., will issue before the end of this month a major statement as to its future business intentions and directions for corporate growth.
