Mark, I also read the following article and saw the 37 million reported sales:

In techweb.com it was said "Borland
reported first quarter sales of $46.5 million, compared with sales of $43.4 million a year
ago, a gain of 7 percent. The sales include revenue from Visigenic. On a stand-alone
basis, Borland reported sales of $37 million."

$37 million is also the sales figure given in the Borland Press release for the 1997 quarterly numbers.. I figured the author goofed and mistakenly used the 1997 numbers as the 1998 Borland only numbers. I can find no other reference to Borland's 1998 revenue (except combined with visigenic at $47m)...

That being said, I'm not very impressed with the revenues. All these new products being rolled out, new market to sell to... I'm back to my consistant criticism of Borland's management....We need better marketing and sales!! Just making the best software tools isn't enough... You have to sell them..
