I've always contended that Alex D. is either a paid promotor or an entirely dense investor. FACT: Innovacom has constantly lied or speculated on press releases. This is verifiable from earlier press releases saying they were years <plural> ahead of the closest competition in a single-chip MPEG-2 encoder yet many people on this board posted releases from competitors (i.e. CUBE and Sony) that outright contradicted their claims. And no, don't bring the "quality" issue back up because they never qualified MPEG-2 encoder with "HDTV-capable MPEG-2 encoder". FACT: Innovacom has constantly made time tables then broken them. FACT: Innovacom has constantly diverted their focus from simply making a chip and living off the intellectual property to doing a variety of things including motion picture productions, satellite transmission, and DVD authoring software! Is Innovacom a scam? We won't know until they either fold or they produce something that can be tested. Does Innovacom warrant confidence like Alex D. and his cronies suggest? No way. Confidence must be earned. Confidence is a track record. Confidence is not a press release or the "word" of someone in Innovacom's IR dept. The only positive spin here is that the shares are so low the downside is small for those who have already lost a lot of $$$. -Bill, neither long nor short but quite amusde by the MPEG bulls putting the spin on Castleman's comments.
