The bears wouldn't be so suspect if they were there to grab a quick profit, but the fact that they are positively jubilant over industry bad news is really suspicious. Seems like it means more to them than just a fast buck? Anyhow, Nemer has stated pretty clearly how this psychology differs from normal traders and investors below.

However, the typical bear, who posts on SI, is a doom and gloomer, rather than an opportunistic trader, and seems to revel in the disaster, rather than in attempting to generate profits for himself.

Furthermore, a paradigm shift in an industry that is just beginning does seem like quite a stretch. I also forgot to add that even Big Blue is allocating resources to grow the PC business. I don't somehow think they would do that if the whole market had shifted to minicomputers and servers.
