Let them know you are alive! Send them a letter. Talk business sense, don't just complain.

I suspect that current management has a lot of political capitol invested in the HeartScan concept. There have been many statements in the past that basically said "The success and expansion of HeartScan is crucial to the success of Imatron" or words to that effect. Now they're talking about selling it.

In the last two years, it has lost over 16 million and that doesn't include venture capitol used for start up.

One of the pitfalls here is that even if people start coming, once you use up the educated, sophisticated, 5% of the population, then what do you do? How do you get the masses that think a cultural event is discussing the differences between a hangover caused by Miller or Budwiser to get a scan? How many restaurants or stores have you seen that are packed for 18 months and then suddenly turn into ghost towns? Retailing is one of the most treacherous businesses to be in.

I'll bet that there is no one on the Board that has a successful track record in retail management. This is the old "fish out of water" syndrome. If you want to succeed in business, stay with what you know.

Imatron is a manufacturer of a wonderful piece of diagnostic equipment up against many huge multi-national firms. That in itself is a tremendous task to accomplish. It is ridiculous (in my not so humble, big headed, I think I know everything opinion) to further burden such a risky venture with the task of being a health care provider, especially before a revenue base has been established to support the risk. But then, what do I know? I have no credentials, just a brain.
