If what you have read on Win 98 is from the mainline mags, then what you read is 3 months old by the time you read it.. The actual speed increase won't be known until its released, but that is the promise of the development team... Dual monitors is not for laptops... Yes, you put in a second video card and another monitor and you have more deskspace, run multiple programs at once with the same mouse and keyboard... very cool... FAT32 is NOT a fair bit slower when you use it with large (>2GB) drives. Where ever you are reading this nonsense stuff, stop. Here is the key element that the analysts are forgetting (you heard it from me first) When Win95 came out MOST computers needed to be upgraded to use it...More memory, more harddrive space, new 32 bit apps. Win 98 has MORE computers ready and willing for it... Not a big cost (every 4 years you need to spend $100, cheap!) However, Win 98 income will not be in this qtrs numbers... re -read the press release from last month about the upside numbers. It covered last qtr (the numbers just released) and this qtr.
