Changes of format for MarketGems "beta" newsletter and "earnings plays"...

After some feedback, I've decided to include on the newsletter a special "options" section for the Call/Puts Options I will be using for the earnings plays. This will enable those of you who NEVER traded options before to make use of the 'earnings play' strategies that utilize the amazing leverage of options for the very short term (1-3 days).

These option trades are much less risky than long term option buys. You would NOT have to know options since you would not be using complicated hedges or other options strategies.

You would only be looking at the STOCK and entry to the option would be calculated by your TA on the stock. Premiums and pricing are not a big factor and I will give you alternative (may 30 calls, may 25 calls etc. ) if the premiums are extremly high.

Of course there is danger that if you hold the call through earnings you will lose 60% of it. But I try to make the "play" before earnings (1 week- 1 day)and sell before the actual report, or the "play" could be on the day earnings come out.

2) Special efforts will be made to find the "earnings plays" from the small cap and russell 2,000 stocks. I've been finding them in the last few weeks (FFTI, FRAG, WAVO, MERX, WLT, etc) and I'll scan to find more of these plays.
