I think you are confused with regards to speedup. Speedup as a percentage is:
((new performance)/(old performance) - 1)*100

So if you double the clock rate of a cpu you get 100% speedup.
Going from P90 to P200 you get about (200/90-1)*100 = 122% speedup
which is not even close to the 300% speedup I cited in my previous post.
The PPro200 is a wonderfull chip for 32bit code.
Sanders admits this too pcweek.com
