There is another important point here. If the Fed raises rates significantly it will reduce the ability of the market to sustain these ridiculous multiples. If this market crashes, we may all need to head for the hills. It could be the straw that broke the camel's back. The Fed knows this and is caught between a rock and a hard place. That's my opinion for what it's worth.
