IBM, Sun and Intel on NC, may pose a threat to Microsoft's domination of the PC market. IBM Corp. (IBM) rose 2 3/4 to 117 1/2 amid expectations it will partner with Intel Corp. (INTC) to develop network computers (NCs) and related products. The companies would develop NCs based on Java OS for Business, an operating system co-developed by IBM and Sun Microsystems Inc. (SUNW), operating on Intel processors. The combination of IBM, Sun and Intel, may pose a threat to Microsoft's domination of the PC market.
