Re: "In terms of content, from a kids point of view, AOL is in a league of it's own."

Whooops .... There go the kids!

Regard from CNET today:

news.com

"Bill Gates and Steve Case are about to get a run
for their money--from Mickey Mouse."

"Disney's online plan of attack includes a major
fee-based online service aimed at the family
market that could include everything from
celebrities hosting online features to the
company's own branded "D-mail," CNET has
learned. The service is expected to be rolled out
in stages, starting at $5 a month for access to
some proprietary content and eventually rising to
a $20 monthly charge that will include an Internet
connection, sources said."

"The planned online service will
form a new nucleus for Disney's global marketing
efforts. The company plans to use its electronic
operation as an interactive roadmap leading to all
corners of its empire where subscribers can
purchase souvenirs, buy movie tickets, book trips
to theme parks, and check programming changes
on ABC, among myriad other services."

There is simply, absolutely no way can compete with Disney for the family crowd. Disney has the $ to prevail. AOL will be flattened.

AOL's only hope is a buyout.
