SeaMed announces earnings

REDMOND, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 23, 1998--SeaMED Corporation, SEMD today announced record results for the third quarter
ended March 31, 1998. For third quarter of fiscal 1998, SeaMED reported revenue of $18.3 million, an increase of 28% from the $14.3 million in
revenue reported in the third quarter of fiscal 1997. Net income for the third quarter was $1.1 million or $0.19 per share, up 38% compared to
net income of $778,450 or $0.14 per share for the same period of the previous year. For the first nine months of fiscal 1998, SeaMED reported
record revenue of $50.6 million, up 39% compared to $36.4 million reported in the same period of 1997. Net income for the first nine months
was $2.9 million or $0.52 per share, up 57% compared to $1.9 million or $0.39 per share for the first nine months of fiscal 1997. At the end of
the third quarter of fiscal 1998, the Company had 34 projects in its engineering pipeline, up from 31 at the end of the previous quarter, and up
from 26 engineering projects at the end of the third quarter of fiscal 1997. SeaMED added five new engineering projects during the third quarter.
