Spots...

I enjoyed your thoughtful note! "Full of it"...well I doubt that. I just thought after seeing your original note to me, it wouldn't be right for me NOT to respond.

I only guess I'm right on this. I have no way to know with certainty. The folks at QP would have to do the research on all of it. They certainly can't take my word for it.

Primate puts up the option data that it has available. I just took a look at a couple that I've been watching or trading. I have what looks like daily data on GM and WMT right now dating back to 3/23 and that's it. This is for the May expires. I traded the GM a couple weeks ago and no longer even look at it. On my Saturday "do" list is always "clean up option file". I go in and dump those I no longer have interest in and add the new ones.

If you find a way to *really* use a chart of the option data, I sure would like to hear about it. Some years ago I had a good over the phone relationship with a Dr. Howard Young. He's the president of a company called Wall Street Online. He was doing quite a bit of work in the way of charting actual option prices. But, as far as I know, he gave it up as not being productive. I haven't spoken to him in years, so he may have finally come up with something I don't know about.
