Internet Quotron - supposedly a new front end client, my choice for best internet quote system if they get it right...but first, some content on ecns and market changes.

Market changes, ecns...some content from another thread...I wouldn't sweat opening an ECN, and their impact will be minimized in the next 12 months as well as the importance of MM's. The NASD is doing away with SOES and SNET and created an OPEN book on the NASDAQ with instant manning rules. The MM's wont be happy, soes firms wont be happy but the end client, the customer, you all, should be very happy since you will more readily and quickly become the market.

As well for those interested, spent some time talking to Reuters Quotron wich is developing their new Quotron 5.0 (although i think they are chanaging the name). Supposedly its the same as their Lan based quote system, which we use in our offices here. From experience, having used several quote providers service, the Quotron 5.0 front end is great system, much more intuitive and professional that real ticks' . Infact quotrons current internet product is a real tick front end, but their new version when it comes in a few months, will be the Quotron AE 5.0 frnt end. I have played with Spcomstock and Pcquote, they are nice, well done. The Lan based quotron client is heads and tails better. This will be the choice from the home/internet trader when they develop it. I dont know if they have anything out yet, but should be vey very good if its the same client (and supposedly better 5.0 vs. 4.0) as they have on lan based systems now. It will be great for us since we can support it features with our clients.

**BTW Spots, you are da' man! anyone that questions your sincerity or intellect or committment to the financial markets....Don't! you dont know spots..I do....He da' man!
