Dear DCF,
Exodus 12:14 This is a day you are to commemorate; for the generations to come you shall celebrate it as a festival of the Lord- a lasting ordinance.

Exodus 12:17 Celebrate the Feast of Unleavened Bread, because it was on this very day that I brought your divisions out of Egypt. Celebrate this as a lasting ordinance for the Generations to come.

These do not sound like Traditions from men to me. However men did add to what was done and that was the burdens they put on people that offended the Lord. If He did not see Passover as important why did He fulfill it? The shadow is in the past but we should celebrate more because we have the entire picture. To me it is kind of funny that the Jews have been performing communion for years and the Christians have been doing Passover in a way thru communion, neither one understanding the other. In 1 Cor. 5:7 For Christ our Passover Lamb, has been sacrificed. 8 Therefore let us KEEP THE FESTIVAL, not with the old yeast, the yeast of malice and wickedness, but with bread without yeast, the bread of sincerity and truth.
So Paul says to keep the Festival but to do it in the newness of Yeshua in the truth of who He is and what He has done. Not to do it with the malice and wickedness that comes from not being born again.
Now I do not think anyone has to keep the Festival but I do believe their is allot to learn and a joy that comes from the revelation of the entire program to this point of redemption. To me it is learning more of the person of Jesus who He was and what He was doing.
The Holidays that are kept in the CHurch are they not Feast that He fulfilled?
Nancy
