Thursday April 23, 8:17 pm Eastern Time RESEARCH ALERT-Hypo cuts Schwarz Pharma MUNICH, Germany, April 23 (Reuters) - Analysts at Bayerische Hypotheken- und Wechsel-Bank AG (BHWG.F) on Thusday cut drugs group Schwarz Pharma AG (SRZG.F) to ''market performer'' from ''outperformer.'' The bank said there was increased pressure on Schwarz Pharma's EDEX/Viridal product because of the successful introduction by Pfizer Inc (PFE - news) of its impotence drug Viagra. In addition, Hypo-Bank said that Schwarz Pharma's change of strategy on its range of operations was worrying. Analyst Isabella Zinck said in a comment that Schwarz Pharma was planning to realise ''all good projects'' regardless of segment, having earlier said it was going to focus on core areas. This would bring Schwarz Pharma into regions dominated by larger rivals, she said. ''It will be a significant battle for Schwarz Pharma to compete here, the danger of inefficiencies is high.''
