For a recent case study in how a stock can get hammered
(and I know first hand having just undergone a bloodbath) is TDFX.

Announced blowout earnings, and the stock has tanked 25% since.

The reason: insider selling.

Lockup provision rescinded, float increased by 30%.

Insiders with very inexpensive shares selling into strength.

Something to keep an eye on.

Recent insider selling..
