Based on the letters I've received from 4 of the major Canadian banks I deal with, it appears that we may be able to get a much better understanding of how well they might cope by January '99. All of the letters talk about the banks planning to be finished by the end of '98 so they can spend '99 in a testing phase. I'm hoping by then they'll have to be a little more truthful than they're being now.
