Spots,
The recent dialogue between you and david horne concerning the indicator Mass index proved to be helpful and very timely for me. I had been playing with the indicator without the benefit of complete description of triggers(26.5 & 27)and had been only guessing. Thanks to david for posting the specifics of this indicator,I can set it up and test it now.
Reviewing these recent posts and your response to my reference to the M&M approach to share valuation, I realized that you may have thought of an application of mass/enthalpy flux across a control boundary... steady state ...etc. I was referring to application of analytical methodology and possibility of extending certain concepts from other fields to TA. Such as M&M did, by making certain restrictive assumptions about interest rates and markets and establishing a relationship between earning growth , dividend and share values. Ultimately relaxing those assumptions and incorporating its impact in the main framework. (By the way M&M were down sized mechanical engineers<gg>)
Anyway, you and david discussed it eloquently and I benefited in the process. I have been toying with another indicator, KST, using it in somewhat of an unconventional set up, but lets hear about some of your physical TA|:0) first. best regards, mark
