Well I first saw DeBeers junior geologist in Canada in 1963.

They had a field camp in Val D'or in 1968. Then they sponsored
Monopros to explore for them.

The had an office in Thunder Bay since 1970. They must have drilled
1000 diatremes in Ontario and Quebec either directly or indirectly through Lac and Esso.

I had heard that they found 3 potentially economic kimberlites in Ontario alone in that time. This comes from a very good source in an associated company, Hudson Bay.

They ain't in any hurry are they?

And can you imagine trying to get people to explore for diamonds in 1977 in Ontario based on this info? They MIGHT believe you now. Then it was T-o-u-g-h. You did not get merely quizzical looks, they did not even try to change the subject. They didn't have to.
