Real( almost eerily) quiet tonight:
Splits (con'td)
Looking at todays splits, OCFC,SNV,BKB,BPOP,DORL,CCBG
SNV out, Too small
CBG out, low vol, only 5/2 split, only 2% earnings increase
BPOP Out, what is it ??? An offshore bank, I can live without
BKB Out Not real good, splits too late(June), not good performance
So that leaves only two:
OCFC a NJ bank, 2/1 split May 15 stock buy back reduced shares from 8.2 mil to 6.5 mil , 11 offices
DORL A Puerto Rican(US) bank 16 mil shrs, third stock split,
8 consecutive div increase, splits May 20 th
Now take your pick. I would be inclined to OCFB it is in the US ,
might activate a new buy-back( its finished), and splits earlier,
but DORL also looks good, so review the charts.
I am just doing this to make comparisons, am just a bit offish
on bank stocks at the moment after all that noise about bac,nb, fitb,and One last week that fizzled.
The only way I 'play' these is with close-in calls, as Dell
will run circles around them long-term.
