I guess I'm still confused. Zeev's explanation seems rational, but your thoughts rekindle my paranoia that the whole mess of manipulation fits in with the pyramid/Ponzi scheme which the market seems to have become. I find it hard to believe that all the boomers buying stock mutual funds at these valuations will be "rich" in the future. Their stocks don't pay dividends, so they will have to sell their holdings to live their projected opulent lifestyle. Question is to whom they'll sell them? And for how much? Psst.. hey little boy, wanna buy some Yahoo?
