A deal must have been cut as WWS had a legally binding contract on the asset so gov't did the deal last week to get things moving.
My thoughts:
obviously it is not a cash settlement as they needed at least 60m to finance operations, thus wouldn't have come up with cash for payout.

how would they have a 130m payout so fast?(late 1998)
how long will wws wait to make an announcement or is the deal not complete? CEO back in toronto so would he come back without the deal?

Interesting the uranium deal was signed the same week CEO was in the country! I would say a deal is on the way.
