To put an exclamation point to Chas' comments. Flying from Houston to naw' leans or baton rouge has become rather difficult to say the least. Every flight is over booked regardless of the time of day. It used to be that you could walk into either airport and jump on the next flight with little problem. Now it's common place to have to be put on a standby list for 2 or 3 flights before getting out.

One more note, it isn't just the hardhats(leathernecks, oil field bubba's etc etc) that are flying back and forth, its the big six consulting firms and the investment firms and the computer related businesses that get swept up in draft of an economic upswing in a region.
