You have to believe that we, and now go2net, want to maintain a great relationship with the people that make this site what it is. So I don't see it as a control issue. There are certain things that make sense that cannot be altered. If we rotate a banner ad at the top of every message (for the people that post), people will post fewer messages and sign in less often. A Life-time membership is a life-time membership. Products or features may be added that are outside the scope of that membership, but the basic commitment will remain. etc...
