The capital spending has been delayed substantially because of overcapacity, falling prices, and now the latest, under $1,000 PCs. If you take the author literally, he is almost trying to call a turn in the market. It's a little early, don't you think? I've been long on AMAT and KLAC for over two years now so I'm eagerly awaiting the next "turn." Been way down. Been way up. Been way down. Now I'm waiting for the "way up" cycle where I think I will reduce my exposure and try to catch the cycles instead of riding them up and down.
