It is not easy to find out more, I read the company's recent press releases and what they did is sell a number of business of which they say these are loss making. Further more they had a problem in their latest hospital software product Kompass. After long delays that apparently cost them a lot of revenue or at least led to the delay of revenue the software product Kompass 1.12 has now been accepted by a very important client the Nuremberg hospital. Now more installations follow in Germany.

The company has 4 main business areas for which they develop specific products for client server situations .The main business areas are Hospitals, Transport, Publishers and Financial Services.

Tripple p took over Mai somputers in 1994. This company MAI is very strong in Germany in the hospitalsegment where they have developed a large base of customers with apparently good products. Currently tripple p is adopting this software for hospitals in Holland and in Belgium and France. I dont know how this is going. Only recently the first Dutch hospital installed the product. Perhaps more will follow.
The other areas i am not yet familiar with.
They are also active in Network integration as they call it. They say this area of business is important to get new clients and also to stay in touch with the requirements of specific client groups for which they can then develop new products or adopt existing products.
Traditionally their third quarter revenues decline as it happened this quarter. Whether it declined more than usual is not yet clear the figures have not yet been published.but they will be early in November as the company says.
I think the share price is very low now and that it is possible to start bottom fishing. However personnally i cannot judge the full strenght and resilience of the company yet. I need more information for that and I will contact the company for that especially to judge their potential in their core business areas. Perhaps one of you can contact Hambrecht and Quist in the states the company that brought the company to Nasdaq. They probably have some analyst following the company.
The company has a lot of people working on development and seem to have a considerable potential however their network integration activity seems to be under pressure.
I hope to find out the split in revenue between the different product segments this will help judge the situation.
