<OL> Oh, lisa, you're frightening me! Please, please, don't tell! I promise to stop--as soon as you get it into your intelligent but unimaginably thick head that you are way, way out of line.
Oh, and incidentally
I've already written the webmistress
about you
In fact you gave me the idea. I'm eager to hear her reply.
Ooh, lisa's in trouble!
No, not really. I requested advice, not censure. I posed a question: What do you do about a person who posts rudely and excessively, whose interest is primarily short-term trading strategy on a thread set up to follow a company, and who then, when politely asked to show restraint, tells the people who have contributed over many months, forming a little community with a history of its own, to leave?
I haven't heard back. All I and others can do, meanwhile, is attempt to make it clear to you, lisa, that our criticism has been about the appropriateness of your behavior.
Since you haven't taken hints and have ignored or angrily rejects our pleas, what can we do but criticize you directly?
I wish it weren't necessary. I wish you would reflect upon what has been said to you about your behavior, then seek, pardon the pun, a compromise, a rapprochement. And so I ask you to take a deep breath and consider doing just that.
Please, for everyone's sake, think this over.
In such a case I for one would be happy to welcome you as a valued, knowledgeable particpant of the thread.
Okay?
