WOW...now that's a breakout! Re:"Can you guesstimate the run of these puppies when they get going?" My experience has been no I can't...many people claim to be able to, some using very complicated methods and some using simple ones. My feeling is on a breakout...all bets are off, especially if the float is small. On non-pennies that are very widely held, prices are much more predictable. I use Bollinger bands for this purpose...once the upper is broken through its going to run generally until it closes back inside the bands which infers a slowdown or change in trend. Personally I prefer to set stops and lock in profits...sometimes you miss the big one, but that's 1 in 20 anyway. More importantly....did you get a piece of the action???
