Hank - that's what I said

<<<This guy does and unless he's a complete idiot, he knew exactly what he was saying. He knew that the numbers he was quoting weren't really the same.>>>

I assume that by "this guy" you're referring to Dr. Ferguson. What he said was:

<<<Dr. David Ferguson, an outside consultant for Zonagen, says the difference may be that Goldstein, the lead investigator on the trials, did his own analysis.

Ferguson speculated that "Irwin may have done his own analysis to get it into the AUA as soon as possible." Often abstracts are prepared quickly, under deadlines, before a scientific meeting.>>>

Some comments:

1- it clearly says he is an outside consultant - not an employee.
2- He is a physician. I don't have any idea who he is or what his reputation is but, in my experience, most MD's are careful to avoid making statements that could too easily brand them as shills
3- as evidence of #2, it clearly says that he "speculated"
4- a few months ago, Dr. Goldstein was severely ridiculed by Wexler, et al as being a company (make that industry) shill. Now that he puts out something that can be construed as negative - he's the new trusted source.

Why not wait for the full story & for everyone to explain their statements. It won't be long until the AUA and, hopefully, the filing of the NDA by SGP.

Good luck.
