Signist- Stock Appreciation? Here is what we do: a) Change name to MRV.com, and eliminate all products, therefore all earnings. Then investors don't have to worry about pesky sales. b) Over-pay for a huge modem company, stuff the inventory channel, then have all the insiders sell off. Since we already took the whack, why not at least get the benefit of "no longer being crooks" appreciation. c) Convince someone at Lucent to mention MRV in passing, during a press conference. "We can acquire any number of small companies the size of... say, MRV Communications, for example. We'd never even feel the cost of such a small purchase." The joy of MRVC is finding and holding a gem in the rough. If it ever becomes a popular stock, the secret will no longer be ours. :^( Of course, there is the compensation... Richard
