To All---Can someone who has V4 pls help me out here. I have emailed worden tech support several days ago but no answer for some reason.----I have a third party pgm that reads Metastock but not TC. So, I convert my TC data over to MS and then go to the other pgm (Elwave). But Elwave can't display more than 255 issues per folder so I have to create multi folders in order to use it. No problem at present since i currently have only 400 issues. But if i switch to TC's WinV4, I get a CDROM in the mail with 9000 odd issues spread across NYSE,NASDAQ and AMEX. Needless to say, I don't really want to create up to 35-40 separate folders in MS into which the TC data would be converted. Too unwieldy. So, I'm wondering if I will be able to instruct TC, during the CDROM installation, not to load certain issues so that my issue size is cut down significantly.----1) First, I would want to tell it not to load on my hard drive ANY AMEX issues. (Can I do that easily?) ---2)Next, would I have to individually specify each issue in the NYSE/Nasdaq that i didn't want to load (which would be far too cumbersome and time consuming to do, stock by stock) or could I tell the installation for eg not to load any issue with say volume under 50,000/day or sales rev under $30MM ( a very easy thing to do)?-----3) Does the installation load all NYSE/NASDAQ issues in alphabetical order without separating the exchange first (eg AA followed by AAPL) or does it go alphabetically for all NYSE issues and then start over with all NASDAQ issues alphabetically? ----4) would I have to start over every 3 months each time a new cdrom came in the mail? Many thanks
