Badger Daylighting Inc. is still dirt cheap at $9.20 a share....

Although the purchase of D&K Drilling has fallen apart the company is very slightly impacted as a result. The purchase of the company would have added $0.05 EPS-FD in 1998 and $0.10 EPS-FD in 1999. Taking this loss of earnings into account Badger is expecting to earn $0.60 EPS-FD in 1998 and $0.84 EPS-FD in 1999.

Badger's fundamental business is so strong that their spectacular rate of growth will continue on for many years to come. At a 15.3 x 1998 EPS-FD and 10.9 x 1999 EPS-FD and an annual growth rate of better than 40% I think the current earnings to price multiples are way to low. In my opinion the stock should be trading at 20 to 25 times earnings, certainly in the U.S. market they would be at least that. It is no wonder to me that the price of the stock has only declined by 10% with the loss of D&K, in fact this is a great buying opportunity.

The company has publicly stated that they are looking for other directional drilling companies as well as considering the option of getting into the business themselves, after all the technology is available to any one who can afford it. Badger has the management skills to handle the venture if it makes economic sense for them to do so.

In my view this is a dynamic company with an unlimited potential..

Regards
