Seriously, though, isn't the amount of pesticide residing in a flea collar, nasty though it may be, relatively harmLESS when dispersed in the open, fresh air?

What I had always heard is that you should put a MEATBALL in your vacuum cleaner bag, to attract all the fleas to it. That may be a little more difficult for vegetarians to pull off, though, and I do not believe Tofurkey achieves the same consistent results.
