In the beginning all the engines paid Netscape for the "opportunity" to be seen and played with on the only game in town. Instead of seeing the future, Netscape played host for a price. Now the little fledglings can fly from the nest -- and Netscape is left holding the bag negotiating from a weaker and weaker state. It reminds me of the company that invented the spreadsheet (the name escapes me at the moment) They has the basic idea, but Lotus123 blew them away. We are at about that stage in the internet game that software was in the late 70s early 80s. Mergers, buyouts, visionaries, blood and guts. You can guess long or short -- The streets are paved with gold, but you can slip on the blood and get run-over. Such is Life --- but it's fun to be playing the game!!! Weby
