Doug What might be the easiest and cost effective thing for you to do is open a U.S. account with a Canadian brokerage firm. I have a few friends in the U.S. that play the Canadian markets this way. For a full service broker I've found Yorkton Securities to be one of the best to deal with. They have offices in Toronto and Vancouver.
