On the spinoff: techweb.com A Hyundai Electronics representative in Seoul said it was unclear whether Maxtor Corp., the U.S. hard disk manufacturing subsidiary, would be included in the PC spinoff. He said that Maxtor is now making a profit and that the Hyundai parent may want to retain the operation.
