Jman: Listed below is how a urologist (and PFEr) answered a similar question on AOL's Motley Fool Pfizer Board.

Hope this helps,

kerniklink<<Which products/companies do you think will best exploit the potential market represented by the 27-54% of subjects in these studies who did not respond to sildenafil (but who are being recruited as customers by the education and publicity afforded by the Viagra phenomenon? Muse/Vivus? Invicorp/Senetek? IC351/ICOS? ?/?>>

First of all I haven't had any patients return to my office having failed Viagra. I am sure some will, but none have as of yet. The way I will proceed will be to first try MUSE. I will try all four doses. This will most likely not work. MUSE has been extremely disappointing with a less than 10 % success rate for our patients (I know the reports state differently, but I am stating our experience) In addition I thought the rates would have been around
30% but they are less. I also have refilled MUSE only a handful of times. The muse reps also sense the lack of success with MUSE since they are now recommending that you use a rubber ring around the base of the penis with the MUSE capsule. Explain the convenience of that technique to me please.

After MUSE I would proceed to caverject (injection therapy). If this fails then I would discuss a possible penile implant.

With respect to VIVUS I will keep an eye on the stock price. If it approaches 20 bucks I may short a stock for the very first time. Essentially I feel that VIVUS is a one product company with that product having a limited lifetime. As soon as a topical cream is available Muse will be obsolete.

disclosure: I have no position in VIVUS either long or short.
