Texas is flat. And they are proud of it.
I'm not a Texan but I have a son born there
and that's the second greatest honor in life
a man can have next to being born there.

So I'm sort of tied to the state.

But it is very flat, unless you go to Big Bend
Country and that's a world away from Dallas.
Oh yes, then there is the Hill Country near
Austin--really just rolling countryside.

But, if you ever go to Midland, way out west, then
that is flat. It makes Dallas look mountanous.

My last note: When in the Alamo, be sure to take your
hat off in respect--wearing a hat would be disrespectful
and be much different than this hill talk stuff.

Nothing much else to talk about on a Sunday morning.

Texas used to be a bigger part of TI though. Now there are
an awful lot of YANKEEs in the management ranks. The big
philosophical question is what impact does the de-Texization
of TI have on its success?
